• Photographs
Chantilly houses an important collection of photographs, comprising around 1 400 printarts dating from the second half of the 19th century. The collection of the Duc d'Aumale reflects the different steps in the history of photography, from the generation of pioneers of photography, with Baldus, Le Gray or Fenton, up to the turn of the century with the first amateur photos by his nephew Robert d'Orléans, Duc de Chartres, from which industrial photography derived.
