Deep inside the Château de Chantilly, under the ancient vaulted ceilings of the old kitchens or in the banqueting hall of the princes of Condé, the Maitre d’Hôtel will greet you.

You will then be seated – and four of your guests will have the honour of being served by the Maître d’Hôtel himself – naturally according to the traditions of service and gastronomy of the period!
It is now that the dinner begins. There is the First Service (Soups and appetisers), the Second Service (the hors d’oeuvres), the Third Service (the roast meats) and finally the Fourth Service, the desserts, of which the highlight is the Crème CHANTILLY created before your eyes by the chef himself.
Vatel will be with you throughout this princely banquet and will entertain you between courses. He will be dressed like a cavalier and will act in gallant fashion, showing you how to conduct yourself and how to eat. There will be a round of “Discovering the fragrances” and a Word Games entertainment between courses, and finally the ceremony of “sabrage” of the champagne, when the champagne is opened by having the bottle neck sliced off with a sabre.
It is then that the fireworks will be lit in the hall and the princely Maître d’Hôtel will leave you – and you will learn of his sad death. Come and experience the last moments of this famous character from history, come and join the Vatel feast !
A Prestige Reception during which the guests will visit the Condé Museum accompanied by the Grand Condé in person and will be entertained to a banquet conducted by Vatel (The Feasts of Vatel).
Notre Spectacle "Condé & Vatel" comprend :
•An actor-historian in the costume of the period (bilingual English-French)
•Two hunting-horn players (from 50 guests and upwards) and four hunting-horn players (from 70 guests and upwards)
•The book entitled “Chantilly Monograph” presented to each guest (from 70 guests upwards)
•Entertainment by the actor between courses
•A professional wine-waiter-oenologist dressed in period costume (speaking French and English)
•Book about gastronomy presented to each of the guests (when there are 50 guests or more)
•One parchment of “a letter from Madame de Sévigné”, for each diner
•Entertainment by the wine-waiter-oenologist between courses
Hire of the Princes’ Banqueting Room or a visit to the Condé Museum with our guides and guards will be extra.

The treasure of Monsieur le Prince (in French or English)
A Treasure Hunt inside the Condé Museum, the grounds and gardens of the Château de Chantilly.
The participants will be divided into regiments or team, as you hunt for clues among the innocent bystanders who are visiting the museum, will you be able to find all of them and thus discover the treasure?
