Situated at the heart of the 19th century Jardin Anglais, the Ile d'Amour takes its name from the site of one of the parties which the Princes de Condé hosted for their guests to Chantilly in the summer months. This strip of lawn, bordered by fountains and box trees, and laid out in the 19th century for the Duc d'Aumale, leads into a latticework gazebo containing the statue of Eros, from which it takes its name.
