On the 12th, the 13th and the 14th of June 2008

In the year of our Lord 1672, Louis II de Bourbon, Le Grand Condé, welcomed His Royal Highness Le Grand Dauphin de France to his Chantilly estate. The setting was magnificent and the party sumptuous. Suddenly, just as the last rays of light were fading and the Château's crenellated towers were silhouetted on the skyline, the sky lit up like a flash of lightning with a cascade of colours.

The tradition of firework displays in Chantilly was born. More than two centuries later, Les Nuits de Feu 2004 will be gathering together the best pyrotechnics experts from throughout the world. To accompany this spectacular and unique fireworks competition, there will be a symphonic music competition to compose an exceptional and unforgettable spectacle in the magnificent setting of the Château de Chantilly.

There are several different schools of pyrotechnics throughout the world, each of which has built up its own pyrotechnical traditions. Les Nuits de Feu in Chantilly will therefore allow the public at large to appreciate the works of the leading specialists in this field and to take part in two unprecedented evening shows. Whether you are young or old, from France or elsewhere, this spectacle is sure to be an unforgettable and unique experience. There will be no language barriers: participating in the spectacle will be universal.
