The Château restaurant: La Capitainerie

Right at the heart of the Château de Chantilly, beneath the historic vaulted ceilings of François Vatel’s kitchen, la Capitainerie offers you family dining, and caters for weddings and other receptions.
Capacity: seating for 120 in three rooms
Closed weekly on Tuesdays
Open all year round (closed in the evening to individual diners).

Le Hameau restaurant: local cuisine and food items for sale to take away

In the peace and quiet of the grounds, right inside the model village called “Le Hameau” you can relax and sample the local dishes in the place where Crème Chantilly was invented.

From mid-March to mid-November, lunch is served at the mill and in its garden.
Desserts and cold dishes are also available, using genuine Crème Chantilly.


Boutique selling the local produce of Picardy
Family meals, parties, cocktail parties, wedding receptions, business breakfasts, group receptions in the Prince de Condé’s summer dining room.

Restaurant in the Sylvie Park: La table des Lions

The restaurant is located deep in the forest, 200 metres from the Château. It has a unique view of the Sylvie Park. The dining-room, with its warm atmosphere, opens out on to a large terrace that is used in fine weather.

L’Espace Gourmand: Courtille

Close to the Hameau and the jetty where the boats are moored, there is a delightful café called L'espace Courtille which has its own adventure playground especially designed for the kids (3 to 14 years). The café offers a range of ice creams and cold drinks.
L'espace Courtille is open from March to mid-November, only on weekends and public holidays.

The audioguides provide commentary on the galleries of paintings, the chapel and the Cabinet des Livres, and are available at a cost of €2 (1€)

"Push-chairs (strollers) and baby slings:

Push-chair (strollers) and baby slings are available on loan for while you are visiting. They can only be used inside the château, however, and cannot be taken outdoors for a stroll in the grounds.

There are toilets in the courtyard of the Château and at several places in the grounds.

A public telephone booth is available in the Château as well as by the main ticket booths.
