This document is a letter of indulgence for the expedition against the Turks, and the defense of Cyprus. It was printed in Mayence by Johannes Gutenberg, in 1455.
Lettre d’indulgence [pour l’expédition contre les Turcs et la défense de Chypre]

This thirty one line indulgence letter is one of the oldest productions from Gutenberg's workshop. Remained unused, it was discovered in the sides of a binding. It was acquired by the duc d'Aumale in 1876. This printing on vellum is one of two preserved copies in France.
