General terms of online sales


Art. 1 - Application of the general terms of sales

The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate offers to its customers the possibility to buy ticket(s) online in order to access the château and its park and/or the Great Stables to which the ticket(s) acquired grant them rights to, during opening hours.
Ticket purchased by said customer will not grant him/her any particular advantage in case of large crowds. Tickets do not constitute a express line pass. 
Online ticket purchase(s) imply the customer's full adherence, without reserve, to these general terms and conditions, to the exclusion of any other document. These terms and conditions shall prevail over all and any other condition except written, formal and express derogation of the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate, and notably those effective in regards to onsite sales or within our partners sales networks. The present general conditions are available on the website. They apply in full right and without restriction to all orders made on the website. They are subject to change without notice.


Art. 2 - Legal age requirements

The customer hereby certifies having the ability to enter this agreement, for which the general sales conditions are presented below, i.e. having the legal majority and not being submitted guardianship or legal guardianship.


Art. 3 - Applicable legal territory
 The ticket sales referred to in these general terms and sale conditions are subject to French law.

Art. 4 - Terms and confirmation of order

To place an order, each customer needs to be identified, hence creating a personal and secure account (login and password). 
Ticket purchaser is required to take all necessary precautions to keep his password secret and to prevent any use or misuse of his account by unauthorized persons.
Customer is given the opportunity to check his/her basket selection and to change it as need be. It is his/her responsibility to ensure that the tickets assigned suit his/her request and expectations, before confirming his/her final order validation. 
That last "click" is assimilated to the customer's handwritten signature referred to the 1341 article of the French civil code hereinafter referred to as the click of acceptance. Starting from the "acceptance click" shown above, the order is considered to be irrevocable and can only be questioned in certain limited cases described below. Customer will have every opportunity, before this final validation, to change his/her order or to correct potential mistakes.
 

Art. 5 - Order confirmation

Upon confirmation of registration order, an email is sent under the terms of which the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate will acknowledge reception of the customer's order. By keeping this email and/or printing it out, the customer holds a proof of order which the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate recommands be kept safely. Purchased tickets will be sent to the customer, by email, as an attachement file in PDF format. Purchased tickets will also be left at customer's disposal in their registered online account. Customer accounts can be accessed after login and password identification.
Prior to their arrival at the château and/or the great stables entrance, customers must print the purchased online tickets. Please note that tickets cannot and will not be reissued on site and that access to the site will be regretfully denied to the customer. In any case, we strongly suggest that you check your email account before coming to the Estate.
The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate declines all responsability: for any problem or anomaly that can occur during the order's course, or for the ticketing home treatment and printing process considering that the Foundation did not provoke them intentionally, or as the result of negligence in the case of loss, theft or unauthorized use of the ticket(s).
 

Art. 6 - Consummer's code

In accordance to the  article L 121-20-4 of the Consummer's Code, the sale of tickets granting access to a museum is comparable to leisure services. Visit or show tickets are not subjected to retractation rights. Tickets cannot be refunded even in case of loss or theft. 

There are no refunds or exchanges, except in the case of a show cancellation and decision by the organizer to refund the tickets. In the case of a refund decided by the organizer, it will only take place in favor of the original purchaser upon return of the ticket. A ticket cannot be resold at a higher price than the one written on the face of the ticket. No ticket duplicate will be issued, even in case of loss or theft. We invite you to check, 72 hours prior to your show, that it is maintained without change, by calling +(33) 3.44.27.31.80

Any contestation, regardless of its nature, must be made in writing to the booking service (for which adress details can be found below, in article 13), no later than the day of the visit. 

 

Art. 7 - Conditions of access

A ticket granting access to the château, its park and the great stables with their horse training demonstration is called a Chantilly Pass. Different visiting times can be found on our website. Such a ticket is valid for 1 day only, at a predefined date chosen at the time of purchase. A ticket granting access to the château and its park as well as the great stables and the horse show is called a Chantilly pass + show. Such a ticket is valid for 1 day only, at a predefined date chosen at the time of purchase. The animation or horse show takes place under the Great Stables dome at fixed hours. Various visiting times can be found on our website. Late customers cannot expect the right to a refund or ticket exchange. Doors to the show close as soon as the show starts.

lt is the sole customer's responsibility to priorly check the dates and opening hours by calling + (33) 3.44.27.31.80 (every day from 9:30am to 5:30pm).

The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate reserves the right to deny access to any person whose attitude, behavior or attire could be considered a potential disorder risk inside the monument or an interference with the visit.

In that case, a customer denied access to the Estate for the above mentioned reasons will not be granted any refund or exchange of tickets.

 

Art. 8 - Rates

Rates are the public rates indicated at the Chantilly Estate entrance. Ticket rates are indicated in Euros net of taxes. All orders regardless their origin are payable in Euros. 

Applicable fares are those enforced on the day of the order. The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate reserves the right to modify its rates at any time. The services will be invoiced on the basis of rates in effect at the time of the online order registration. 

The rates and services are susceptible to changes on the basis of economic conditions and regulatory provisions.

The only payment mode accepted within the general sale conditions of this online ticketing is the banking credit or debit card.

 

Art. 9 - Secured payment
Our site is subject to a security system. The input and data transmissions are secured by the SSL protocol.

 

Art. 10 - Act of God and responsability

The Direction of the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate reserves the right, without penalty payment or compensation, to cancel or change its program in case of major problems or uncontrollable circumstances.
The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate cannot be held responsible for any failure to comply or non execution for reasons beyond its control, including transportation interruption, strikes, bad weather conditions, fires...
The Château and the Chantilly Great Stables are institutions abilitated to receive public audiences (ERP): a ticket purchase implies, for its owner, the acceptance of safety building regulations and the mandatory compliance with any checkpoint or instruction that the staff can be required to formulate pertaining to the security and safety of the Estate.
The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate cannot and shall not be held liable in the case of:
- theft, loss or damage of any kind during the visit
- access limitation to certain areas or partial monument closure, by decision of the Managment or by any administrative or public decision authorized for safety reasons, large crowds or bad weather conditions.
 
Art. 11 - Insurance
The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate denies any responsibility for any kind of damages. In effect, each visitor is responsible for any damage, direct or indirect, that they could cause during their presence on the site.
 

Art. 12 - Loss or theft of ticket

The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate cannot be held responsible in case of ticket theft or loss. No duplicate can nor will be delivered on site.

 

Art. 13 - Data-processing and liberties

The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate is a customer-data base in accordance to the clauses of the January 6, 1978 law, as amended by the August 6, 2004 law.
Pursuant to the clauses of the January 6, 1978 law, the information requested from the customer is required for the processing of its order and intended for the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate services.
The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate hereby notifies the customer that every order process implies the registration of their personal data to identify said customer, upon the customer's prior approval.
The customer then has an access right, a adjustment right and an opposition right. 
For information purposes, the data processing manager in charge is the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate's booking service, 15 rue du Connétable 60500 CHANTILLY.
 

 

Art. 14 - Identification of the Foundation for the Safeguarding and Development of the Estate of Chantilly 

The Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate is a registered official foundation of public utility.

Art. 15-Litigation

In the case of minsinterpretation or application difficulties of these conditions, the conflicting parties will try as much as possible to resolve their dispute amicably. All litigations which may arise from the present terms of sale must be reported, even in the case of a plurality of defenders or appeal of guarantee, to the competent court of the headquarters of the Foundation for the Safety and Development of the Chantilly Estate.
